Where it Actually Began - The story behind “Я здесь” song

The Story Behind “Я здесь” Song

This didn’t start with a release.

Or a plan.

It started with something much quieter - something I couldn’t ignore anymore.

“Я здесь” was the first song I ever wrote. But it’s only entering the world now.

Not because it was forgotten.

Because it needed time.

And because I wasn’t ready

to understand what it really was.

There are things you don’t release right away.

Not because they’re not ready - but because you’re not ready to let them go.

Then came “Ты есть у себя.”

A different moment.

A different state.

That one came out earlier - first in English as “You’re All You’ve Got,” then in Russian.

It became the beginning people saw.

But it wasn’t the beginning.

Two Songs. One Origin.

Now the real starting point is finally here.

And looking back, I see it clearly: These are not just two songs.

They are two moments of the same path.

“Ты есть у себя” is about standing on your own.

When everything external fades - validation, noise, expectations - and you’re left with one thing:

Yourself.

“Я здесь” is something else entirely. It’s not about strength.

It’s about presence.

Not proving.

Not running.

Not becoming.

Just being.

And not needing anything more.

What “Я здесь” Really Means

It’s the quiet voice in the dark.

The one that doesn’t shout.

The one that doesn’t demand.

The one that simply says:

“I’m here.”

Not as a statement.

As a feeling.

And maybe that’s the difference.

One song is about finding ground.

The other - about realizing you never left it.

A Different Kind of Distance

There’s distance in this story.

But not just physical.

Emotional distance. Silence. Waiting.

Moments when it feels like someone turned off the sunrise.

Like the light is still there - but not for you.

(And maybe that’s exactly how it felt when I wrote it.

And yet - even there - there’s a voice.

Quiet.

Persistent.

“I’m on my way.”

Why This Matters

For years, I told stories through photography and film.

Landscapes.

Movement.

Light.

Silence.

And at some point - that stopped being enough.

The story needed sound.

Not to impress.

Not to perform.

But to say something that images alone couldn’t hold.

Built From the Same Place

These two songs sound different.

But they come from the same place.

One is about holding yourself together when everything feels uncertain.

The other - about holding someone inside you, even when they’re not there.

Two originals.

Two moments.

One path.

More is coming.

This isn’t a one-time release.

It’s a direction.

Photography.

Motion.

Sound.

Different tools.

One intention:

To tell what’s real.

This article tells the story behind “Я здесь” song and how it connects to a deeper journey of presence, distance, and storytelling.
