The Story Behind “Навсегда” and “Between Us”

Some songs come together quickly.
Others stay with you for a long time before they finally become real.
“Навсегда” and “Between Us” became those kinds of songs for me.
Not because they were technically difficult to make, but because of everything connected to them emotionally. I felt that I needed to create them - even before I fully understood why.
Both versions came from the same place, the same feelings, the same memories. But somewhere along the process, they slowly became different from each other.

The Russian version, “Навсегда,” turned out softer, slower, and more intimate. It carries more silence inside it. More reflection. More weight between the words. For me, it feels closer to memory - like something deeply personal that stays untouched somewhere inside you.

“Between Us,” even though it tells the same emotional story, began moving in a slightly different direction. The English version carries more motion and energy. It feels more cinematic, more open, almost like continuing forward while still carrying something with you.
That difference surprised me.
At first, I thought I was simply translating one song into another language. But over time, I realized they had become two different emotional experiences built from the same heart.
Some feelings sound different depending on the language they live in.
What connects both songs is not pain or loss. It’s the feeling of something meaningful remaining with you over time - even when life changes, distances appear, or moments become memories.
I didn’t want these songs to feel loud.
I wanted them to feel honest.
The visuals, atmosphere, colors, and artwork surrounding both releases became part of that same idea. I’ve always been drawn to storytelling not only through music, but through images, movement, silence, and mood. These songs became another step in bringing those worlds together.
Some of the visual atmosphere in these releases also continues ideas and imagery first explored in “Я Здесь.”
Not as a direct continuation, but as part of the same emotional world.
In many ways, “Навсегда” and “Between Us” are less about endings and more about what quietly stays with us long after certain moments pass.
And sometimes, those are the feelings that remain the longest.
