"The Choice" & "Выбор" - When Two Songs Are Finally Ready

Two songs. One idea. Two languages. One long creative journey.

For the past several months, these two songs have occupied my thoughts almost every day.

Although they share the same idea, they are not the same song.

"The Choice" & "Выбор" became two independent works, each with its own voice, emotion and identity.

Creating The Choice was never about translating lyrics word for word. It became its own creative process - rewriting, adapting, searching for the right words, and making sure every line felt natural while preserving the heart of the story.

Along the way, both songs changed many times.

• Words were replaced.

• Entire sections disappeared.

• Melodies evolved.

Some ideas that once felt right eventually had to be let go.

Not because they were bad...

But because they no longer served the song.

Little by little, everything moved toward one goal:

to create something that felt honest.

Eventually there comes a moment every creator hopes for.

Not the moment when everything becomes perfect...

But the moment when you stop trying to improve it because it finally says exactly what you wanted it to say.

That moment finally arrived.

Both songs are finished.

Looking back, I don't think this project was really about writing two songs.

It was about finding two voices capable of telling the same story.

I don't expect everyone to hear them the same way.

Music means different things to different people, and that's exactly how it should be.

All I know is this:

I'm genuinely happy with where these songs ended up.

Now it's time to let them go and let them find their own listeners.
